Could be good with a few tweaks
Large rooms, clean and nice lobby
6,7
This hotel 'should' be a winner - the building is well-designed and looks good.
The staff need training - everyone seems and behaves like a trainee.
Check-in: they didn't have a record of our Agoda booking.
Swimming pool was dirty so we couldn't swim. Lots of staff standing around but no one to clean the pool. No sunbeds or chairs by the pool anyway. We went to Fort Ilocandia for the day - suggest you do too.

Nice and new hotel but not on a prime location
Attentive staff, mall is a short ride from the hotel, big rooms

We spent a day in this hotel and found it very comfortable. The lobby had high ceilings where you can lounge around. There was breakfast but since the hotel is quite new there were no bars and restaurants inside the hotel. For food, we opted to just go to the nearby mall and bring food in which is great for us.
The rooms are new and very spacious. The standard room has two double beds and was comfortable. Great cable tv vs other places we stayed in Ilocos.
It's a good choice if you'll just rest in the hotel. The city is a jeepney ride away and there is zero things to do unless you visit the mall. I would recommend this if you want a restful stay without the cityy after a day of touring.

Uncomfortable and very dissatisfied client

Our stay at Pamulinawen was stressful. Firt, rooms were not made-up unless requested, its not automatic. you can expect that the trash you left in the mornings will still be there when you come back at night. Room service was poor. The restaurant staff were not accomodating and apparently, the Chef was not on top of what's being served to the guests. We are helpless when we have complaints. It also took us long time to check out. my kids' room at first has a problem with shower, aircon and cable etc. very bad experience

It was generally fine. The surroundings are nice and my family enjoyed it. We, however made a complaint about the servings of their food. The food are expensive but the amount of the food is so few. We made a complaint and they gave us a big discount. We are also expecting more from their attendants, but its alright.

Overpriced and Out of the Way
Large sized room, good view, clean bathrooms

The hotel is not in Laoag, it is actually located outside of the town—in San Nicholas. When we booked the hotel, it stated that the location is in San Nicholas, Laoag. Being that this is my first time in this region of the Philippines, there was not enough information upon booking that this hotel is located so far from town.
For a one night stay (on Holy Week), I thought this cost too much (paid $185.00 for one night!). The hotel staff asked me on three different occasions if there really are only two guests staying in the room. I think this was first prompted by me when I called in to confirm that there are two separate beds in the room. For the price that we paid (again that’s $185 USD per night), and for an executive suite, three or four guests should be permitted (this may just be my own personal expectation from a hotel this expensive). So, when I implied that there may be three of us staying, the hotel worker informed me it will add an extra charge for the third person. So of course, I said, “never mind, we only have two guests!”
The day prior, while confirming the room reservation over the phone, the front desk attendant couldn't find the reservation because “it was booked online” and that he was not online. The same attendant said he will check online and will call me back; however, I did not get a call back. This is a big issue for me because as an out-of-town guest on a busy week like Holy Week, being told that the room may not be available made me really uncomfortable.
Then, a few hours prior to check-in I called again to confirm the room and the female attendant this time said that my name is not on their list, but that they will go ahead and add my name to make sure I had a room for that day. They asked if I wanted the room with 2 double beds for 4000.00 PHP—which was half the amount I was charged already.
Lastly, the hotel was not able to provide my request for an extra bed because they said I could just sleep on the sofa bed. Th
