The only issue is that it is far North of the Bund, not actually on the Bund's main attractions. Also, taxi drivers don't know where it is, so it's important to have the directions in Chinese.

The only drawback is the location because it's not on the Bund but actually north of the Bund far away from the shopping. 7,7 It was important to have the exact hotel street address and phone number in both English and Chinese in order for the taxi drivers to be able to find this hotel because most were not familiar with it by name alone.

A staff showed me a few rooms of different levels and let me chose, very considerate and professional. I chose to pay an extra and upgrade to Delux room on 16/F. Nice room with very comfortable bed, bathroom with shower and tub and mini TV. The Japanese restaurant on the 2/F serves wonderful food. The hotel location is a bit far from the bund if you walk, but takes only 5mins to get there. Good pick if you like quiet neighbourhood. A 15-min walk to a famous art space 1933, highly recommended.

I had booked 2 nights and added a third. I had problems booking the third night through Agoda, but they worked it out for me very quickly. I met friends and it was a great hotel for us and them (they had smaller children). The only thing that was a bit problematic is that they had trouble putting us in rooms on the same floor as our children. My friends' children were smaller and they needed to be closer. Eventually, they hotel worked this out, I believe.
