Circa 51 promotes itself as family-oriented, and does a pretty good job at it. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with security but can't point the finger at the staff.

As it is the biggest holiday of the year there were many staff away and the management run a lot themselves. I was taken care of as a returning distant relative. With care but still with some distance. The pool is great and maybe the best value. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. WiFi was reliable. Be aware the hotel has no sign on the outside and it might be difficult to find. It is very much a family hotel and there are no sex tourists there. I am a very frequent traveller to Phnom Penh and this was my first stay at Circa 51. I am likely to return and I can warmly recommend a stay there.

Both the staff and owners were most welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing around the pool. The food in the evening come from a near by resturant owned by the same owner and it was excelent. We also hade a good price for our onward bus ticket from here.

The staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. A great place for a reasonable budget. The breakfasts and the food from Saffron was also amazing.
